As a project OGF was knocked offtrack starting with the loss of hosting and creation of OGF2.5 early last year, then continued in a wrong direction as OGF2.5 went from being a short term temporary site to just being "the site". Since then several plans were drafted to get the project back on track through slow incremental progression, rather than sudden major changes. Now, over a year and a half later with no real progress, major changes are clearly warranted to force the project back on track.

First, an apology is due to MadStork91 for not formally announcing his acceptance of the Lead Artist role for the Openlancer Project in a timely manner. The delay in his announcement and this news article are the same, MegaBurn was away, then this was delayed again for a OGF Project Reassessment article, which is still taking far, far longer than expected. Lots of news to cover for the past two weeks...

Historically late June through most of July is slow for us while much of the community goes on vacation or otherwise turns their attention elsewhere, seems that trend has not changed even as the community has shrunk.
