Under Construction

Sorry, this page is a work in progress, please check back later for updates.

From Site Plan: Short article to note global search is handled via Google site search, either via the search box on the homepage or the Google browser toolbar, and that more specific "power searches" can be done via the internal search systems within each sub-site. Should also mention searching the OGF2.0 forum archive for old but still useful posts.

Drafting Notes: Site search by itself should be idiot proof. Problem here, and a problem in OGF2.0, is each sub-site has an internal search system and we have (or plan to have) a global site search feature via Google, but Google cannot replace the specialized internal systems. So the internal systems become akin to a "power search", people need to be aware of the difference or they will easily become confused. Complicating things a little more, we have a Joomla plug-in which includes phpBB keywords in the site search, this is necessary if article comments are handled on the forums in OGF2.6.
