General information about OpenGameForge is available on the homepage.

The OpenGameForge wiki is in general a community content repository but also has several more narrowedly defined uses:

Project Content: OGF hosted community projects use this wiki to maintain their general project, design, and development articles, usually in parallel to forge style trackers and the OGF forums.
Think Tanks: The OGF Think Tank forum is a place to brainstorm ideas, the more productive threads will be summarized on the wiki and then expanded into formal articles, some of which might be published elsewhere.
Member Content: OGF members can use this wiki as a place to post static reference information, notes, or documents about informal projects.
General Reference: Over time we hope to collect a large knowledge base covering all aspects of game design and development.
